Foster Village is here for families every step of the way. Through our resource centers and therapeutic coaching and support, we help equip caregivers so they can focus on helping the children in their care thrive.

Foster parents often feel tired and alone. Most families foster for less than a year, citing burnout and lack of support as the reason they stop. At the same time, 85% of people who are not foster parents say they care about vulnerable children and want to help.
Foster Village bridges this gap between foster families and caregivers and those who want to help, meeting practical needs and providing holistic support beyond the system.
Together, we can make sure foster families and children have their basic needs met, connect foster families to resources and to each other and advocate for change in the system, creating a better future for our community, our children and the caregivers who raise them.

Learn MoreOur goal is to create opportunities for foster families – both the children and the parents – to connect with each other. By connecting foster families with other foster families, biological families and trusted resources, families are strengthened and empowered to continue fostering.
Learn MoreWe provide holistic and dignified wraparound support to the children and families we serve, understanding the root causes of why a child ends up in the foster care system, facilitating relationships between foster families and biological families and replicating communities of support around the nation.
Learn MoreWe are here to care for the caregivers and empower children and families to overcome adversity. If you are a foster parent or caregiver in need of resources, please visit our For Caregivers section to find out how we can serve you.
Our children need more than a system; they need a village. In fact, 98% of the families we serve cite the support they receive from Foster Village as one of the primary reasons they are able to keep fostering.

Learn MoreAfter the successful launch of our Austin, Texas location in 2016, Foster Village created an Affiliate Program that allows groups nationwide to launch their own non-profit using the Foster Village model, brand and network of collaboration. Each location is a separate 501c3 organization with a shared mission.
Learn MoreWe know that kids in care often receive an excess number of toys during the holidays, while other areas of their holistic care can go overlooked, so several years ago, we launched Christmas Beyond the Toys. It’s a simple campaign designed with the particulars of foster, kinship, and reunifying families in mind. If you’d like to join us in walking alongside a family in need of encouragement this holiday season, please take some time to look through our Holiday Giving Guide
Learn MoreNo one is satisfied with our current child welfare system—not the children and families who experience it or the people working within it. That’s why we need a village beyond the system, where practical needs are met, and holistic support is available so families can break generational cycles of adversity.
Learn MoreOur goal is to make your life easier, foster parents. We know first-hand how overwhelming those first days with a new placement can be, and we are here to connect you with the items you need as you welcome a new child into your home. We have child-friendly, trauma-informed Resource Centers in North Austin and Dripping Springs that are home-like havens stocked with basic necessities for children entering your care and available at no charge to you. All you have to do is request them!
