KC Richardson
Community Engagement Coordinator
KC was connected to Foster Village through her church when she was looking to serve in local missions, and it was a perfect match. As an educator for eight years, she’s had a heart for children walking through challenging circumstances, so she spent four years volunteering with Foster Village’s Project Soothe and community outreach. Then in 2021, she left the classroom to join our team as a community of support for children in foster care and their families. KC's also certified to provide respite care for foster families which is a big need and no small feat!
KC grew up in the Dallas area, but graduated in 2005 from the University of Wisconsin - Madison with a degree in Elementary Education. She and her husband, Aaron, moved to Austin in 2013 with their three kids - Tate, Nora, and Ellys. They love all things outdoors, sports, playing cards, cooking, and traveling to the beach or the mountains.
