Caitlynn Lopez

Caitlynn graduated from The University of Texas at Austin with a degree in Youth and Community Studies and taught kindergarten for two years before joining the Foster Village team in 2022. She has cared about foster care for a long time, and in college, volunteered at Helping Hand Home for Children and the Austin Child Guidance Center where she became more aware of childhood trauma and the child welfare system. She now serves in the foster family ministry at her church, and she and her husband are currently fostering.
Caitlynn grew up in Round Rock, Texas, with her grandmother, met her husband, Iñaki, while they were both attending UT, and is Mom to a wild puppy named Ralphie. Caitlynn loves workout classes, reading, going on walks, and playing board games. An ideal Saturday for her is trying a new taco truck around Austin and attending an Austin FC game with Iñaki and friends.
